A photo of Dr. Pro and Kelly Bench.

As an adjunct program coordinator in the College of Education and Liberal Arts, Dr. Randi Pro helps prepare students for careers as educators. She also shows her dedication to excellence in the classroom as a social studies teacher at Paul M. Hodgson Vocational Technical High School, where she has been named the school’s Teacher of the Year 2026.

The honor reflects Dr. Pro’s outstanding commitment to student learning, leadership, and educational excellence. In addition to teaching at the career-oriented school in Newark, she is advisor to the Class of 2029 and Hodgson’s Student Youth Leadership Program. In her work, she stresses a commitment to professional education and is a leader in digital literacy, teaching students how to evaluate the data costs of so-call “free” apps.

Dr. Pro earned a doctorate in Educational Leadership from WilmU in 2014 and a master’s degree in Applied Technology in Education in 2008. Pictured with Dr. Pro is Kelly Bench, also a social studies educator and a member of the Office of Technology, Assessment, and Compliance (TAC) at WilmU, reflecting the collaboration and commitment to educator preparation within the TAC team.
