How Much Does Law School Cost? Discover the Accessible, Affordable WilmU J.D.

Wondering how you can afford law school? At Wilmington University School of Law, you don’t have to delay your dream. WilmU Law offers legal education at a price that makes sense.
“WilmU Law’s mission is to make the legal profession accessible,” says Jeffrey Zavrotny, J.D., the associate dean for law admissions. “Our tuition is lower than any (law) school in the Philadelphia region.”
Law School Cost
WilmU Law charges $838 per credit, totaling $24,022 a year for full-time students and $18,017 for part-time students. The entire J.D. degree will cost you $72,068. That’s less than half the average cost to attend a private law school, according to LawHub.
“That rate is guaranteed for the student’s entire time of enrollment,” Zavrotny says — with no tuition increases year to year.
WilmU Law also provides scholarships, financial aid and a choice of day or evening classes so you can earn your J.D. while working full time.
“Lower tuition may mean that they don’t need to take a loan and can graduate debt-free,” Zavrotny says. “It is also important to note that lower tuition/debt makes it possible for graduates to take jobs in government, small firms and nonprofits. These jobs may pay less, and lower debt makes the ROI (return on investment) worthwhile.”

Affordable Law School
Affordability is just one of the ways WilmU Law is reimagining legal education.
“There are many barriers to the profession, including cost, student debt and the bar exam,” Zavrotny says. “Our curriculum is designed around the bar exam and lawyering skills. Our assessments are formatted like the bar exam to provide familiarity with bar questions.”
WilmU Law professors not only teach the essential skills and theories all lawyers should know but also foster an inclusive, caring community.
“WilmU Law professors are some of the most highly sought-after people in their respective fields of practice, and every classmate you encounter wants you to succeed alongside them,” says WilmU Law student Héctor Torres-Díaz. “It is not like any traditional law school experience you’ve heard of.”
