Dr. Lisa Drews, chair of RN to BSN and MSN Leadership programs, is raising the profile of Wilmington University and the College of Health Professions and Natural Sciences by sharing her expertise. She recently established a toolbox for advanced nurses in treating victims of abuse published by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing.

In “Advanced Nursing Roles Human Trafficking Assignment,” MSN students in various concentrations can use a template developed by Drews to produce a trauma debriefing script tailored to their specialty.

Drews also contributed to NursingColleges.com, a comprehensive guide to the rapidly expanding nursing field. She published an article titled “Delaware Nursing Colleges, Degrees & Licenses: Meet the Expert,” focusing on education opportunities in the First State.

Her guide includes guidelines for reviewing human trafficking scenarios, encouraging students to reflect on their successful interventions, and fostering open and respectful discussions among nurse leaders. Integrative learning strategies include nurturing communication and collaboration with community organizations.
