In February, Dr. Allan Zaback, who chairs the Administration of Human Services Graduate Program, delivered the keynote address at the Philadelphia Human Resources Leaders Event. The seminar, presented via Zoom, updated HR leaders in the region on such topics as transitioning workers to Medicare healthcare coverage; tools and practices for retaining employees; and key trends in the workplace. Dr. Zaback’s topic, Dealing with the Sticky Side of HR, discussed strategies for fairly and appropriately managing employees.

Dr. Zaback has more than 30 years of experience in the field, working in HR for the State of Delaware. As director for the Delaware Division of Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities, he managed a $30-million budget and a staff of 130. He began teaching as an adjunct at WilmU in 2008. He earned his doctorate in Organizational Leadership and Innovation in 2017 and assumed his current role at the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences in 2018.
