Acts Retirement-Life Communities Announces Partnership with Wilmington University

Acts Retirement-Life Communities (Acts) will partner with Wilmington University to offer employees the chance to pursue online undergraduate or advanced degrees.

The largest not-for-profit owner, operator, and developer of continuing care retirement communities in the United States, Acts will offer tuition reimbursement to employees wishing to pursue any of Wilmington University’s 200-plus online undergraduate and graduate degree programs, including several online offerings in nursing, and its MBA, with concentrations in health care, human resources or technology.

“We are excited to partner with Wilmington University on this initiative, which enhances our ability to provide educational and training opportunities for our employees to further their education and career,” said Jo Anne Hartman, Managing Director of Acts Corporate University, the company’s training department that offers degree certification, scholarships and training programs ranging from trade skills education to advanced business and health care degrees.

“We are proud to partner with Acts, an organization that cares for its employees the way it does its residents and communities: with integrity, compassion and support,” says Wilmington University President Dr. LaVerne Harmon. “We share with Acts a genuine mission of service, and it will be a privilege to support its employees’ academic goals and welcome them to the Wilmington University family.”
