To mark the occasion, students organized WilmU\u2019s first Barristers Ball, an end-of-year tradition at law schools around the country.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFor future generations to come, I want the Barristers Ball to welcome them,\u201d says <strong>Alynna Wilson<\/strong>, a correctional counselor and JD candidate. \u201cI want the next generation to participate, and I want them to know law school can be fun.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She co-chaired WilmU\u2019s Barristers Ball this spring with fellow law student <strong>Hannah Goldston<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt felt like a family gathering,&#8221; Goldston says. \u201cIt was a nice time to relax and dress up.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although they\u2019d never planned an event like this before, it went off without a hitch thanks to their hard work and help from Professor <strong>Nicole Mozee<\/strong> \u2014 Wilmington University\u2019s Student Bar Association advisor and a <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.wilmu.edu\/news\/2024\/04\/12\/wilmu-law-professor-awarded-top-lawyer-honor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Delaware Top Lawyer<\/a> for civil rights \u2014 and Taylor Warrington-Purcell, a WilmU graduate and the School of Law\u2019s administrative coordinator.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI was very, very proud of the dedication of the co-chairs, Hannah and Alynna,\u201d says Professor Mozee, who describes the Barristers Ball as an opportunity for students to \u201ctake a moment and decompress from the rigor of law school and just enjoy themselves.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WilmU green was the color of the evening. Held on campus, the party included dinner, dancing and plenty of laughs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEveryone was very grateful for it,\u201d says Professor Mozee, herself
