She was also named section editor of the Journal of Emergency Nursing\u2019s \u201cEarly Career Emergency Nurse Corner\u201d and the College of Health Professions and Natural Sciences\u2019 first Exceptional Nursing Student DAISY Award recipient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCasey is a consummate nurse, leader, advocate, and educator,\u201d says College of Health Professions and Natural Sciences (COHPNS) Dean <strong>Dr. Aaron M. Sebach<\/strong>. \u201cHer dedication and passion for emergency and critical nursing is remarkable and evidenced by her multiple post-nominal credentials. We are proud of Casey.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOne of the most difficult parts was finding the time to study around work,\u201d she says. \u201cI discovered that if I tried to apply something I learned to my shifts at work, the knowledge would stick better, and I would add more to my practice. Each exam was very difficult and pass rates across the exams were less than 60%.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group alignwide is-nowrap is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-ad2f72ca wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote wu-blockquote-simple is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cHer dedication and passion for emergency and critical nursing is remarkable and evidenced by her multiple post-nominal credentials.
