The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wilmu.edu\/health\/interdisciplinary-care-management-certificate.aspx\">Interdisciplinary Care Management Certificate<\/a> equips students to work in various settings, including acute care facilities, outpatient clinics, private practices, health insurance agencies and workers\u2019 compensation organizations.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cGiven the current state of staffing shortages in health care and the projected vacancy rates for the next five to 10 years, it will be critical that clinicians truly work top of license and allow well-prepared administrative professionals to handle all non-clinical responsibilities,\u201d says <strong>Patricia Resnik<\/strong>, an adjunct professor and president of&nbsp;the board of directors at the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ), who helped develop the certificate.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group alignwide is-nowrap is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-ad2f72ca wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote wu-blockquote-simple is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t think many people realize how certificates play an important role when you graduate.\u201d<br><em>\u2014 Jhovana Preciado<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Salaries for board-certified case managers have increased in recent years \u2014 outpacing the median pay for registered nurses and social workers \u2014 which makes this certificate valuable for students starting their careers as well as those currently working as RNs, social workers, medical assistants or other health professionals.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI feel like health is a very competitive field. That certificate really pushes you to the top of the list,\u201d says Preciado, who lives in Oxford, Pennsylvania. \u201cIt definitely helps when you do interviews. It helps you stand out on your resume, and it helps you stand out from your peers.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Using WilmU\u2019s <strong>Dual-Credit ADVANTAGE<\/strong>\u2122, she applied Dual-Credits to her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wilmu.edu\/health\/health-sciences.aspx\">Health Sciences<\/a> degree and Interdisciplinary Care Management Certificate, saving time and money.
