She also served as associate legal counsel for Delaware <strong>Gov.<\/strong> <strong>John Carney<\/strong>, a staff attorney at Delaware Volunteer Legal Services and a labor law enforcement officer for the Delaware Department of Labor.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group alignwide wu-blockquote-row is-nowrap is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-ad2f72ca wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote wu-blockquote-simple is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cNo matter who you are, no matter where you are, we all have the power and the agency to be the change that we want to see.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<cite>\u2014 Nicole Mozee, J.D.<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>While deeply honored by the Freedom Fund Banquet, Mozee says, \u201cI think I\u2019m even more excited for the future of this law school.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s \u201cbringing a breath of fresh air to the Delaware legal community and to Delaware itself,\u201d she explains. \u201cThe school is very committed to providing access and opportunities for people.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mozee especially appreciates the School of Law\u2019s Excellence in Lawyering and Leadership workshops, which provide students with \u201can overview of skill sets,\u201d including \u201chow to prepare for finals\u201d and \u201chow to read a legal case and brief it.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re not just going to sit there and let you figure it out,\u201d she says, adding that faculty members are revamping and modernizing the traditional \u201csink or swim\u201d law school approach. \u201cWe want to be as supportive as possible for our
