Wilmington University President <strong>Dr. LaVerne Harmon<\/strong> offered personal greetings to each student, followed by inspirational welcome remarks. Dean <strong>Phillip Closius<\/strong> offered introductions and led workshops. Board of Trustees Chairman <strong>Judge Joseph Farnan Jr.<\/strong> administered the Honor Code Oath to students, and the law school\u2019s advisory board presented a vision for the future Delaware legal community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Five other Delaware lawyers talked to the students about the transition from law school to practice. Law faculty and staff presented additional workshops covering the challenges of law school, legal research, wellness and balance, and other topics. Several WilmU representatives offered helpful information to law students, including accessibility services, campus safety, and financial aid. On the final evening, students enjoyed dinner with members of the legal community.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cWe celebrate this major milestone and the first class of the Wilmington University School of Law.\u201d \u2014 <em>Dr. Laverne Harmon<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis is a historic time for our University,\u201d says Dr. Harmon. \u201cWe celebrate this major milestone and the first class of the Wilmington University School of Law.
