A pioneer nurse practitioner, Dr. Reddish has provided primary care for military families and civilians, and has practiced and taught from Florida to Maryland\u2019s Eastern Shore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He will now teach students in Wilmington University\u2019s Doctor of Nursing Practice program. It\u2019s a familiar setting. Dr. Reddish earned his master\u2019s degree in WilmU\u2019s first nurse practitioner cohort in 1995.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDr. Reddish also served on the DNP committee when I was doing my doctorate at WilmU,\u201d says Dr. Aaron&nbsp;M. Sebach, Chair, Doctor of Nursing Practice Program. \u201cIn a way, he has come full circle and we are delighted to have him here.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He began his career as a hospital orderly \u201cand kept going to school to learn more.\u201d Dr. Reddish earned his doctorate at Maryville University of St. Louis and was chair of the master\u2019s program at Kaiser University in Fort Lauderdale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhen I began my career more than 20 years ago, people didn\u2019t know what nurse practitioners do,\u201d he says. \u201cWe now do what much of what general practitioners used to do and are important providers of primary care.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At WilmU, Dr. Reddish will focus on analyzing evidence-based care and strategies for improving outcomes for patients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Lt.
