He\u2019s the latest recipient of the NASA Delaware Space Grant, which awards $5,000 in tuition to an outstanding undergraduate.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhile\u00a0NASA\u00a0Space\u00a0Grant\u00a0awards\u00a0have\u00a0traditionally\u00a0been\u00a0associated\u00a0with\u00a0the\u00a0natural\u00a0sciences,\u00a0this\u00a0award\u00a0highlights the\u00a0growing\u00a0role\u00a0of\u00a0computer\u00a0science\u00a0and\u00a0interdisciplinary\u00a0STEM\u00a0education,\u201d says <strong>Dr. Milton Muldrow Jr.<\/strong>, dean of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wilmu.edu\/sciences-engineering\/index.aspx\">College of Sciences and Engineering<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of the NASA Space Grant program, Wilmington University receives federal funding to provide undergraduate STEM, Computer Science, and Cybersecurity students with hands-on experience in aerospace and earth-science projects. The NASA consortium also includes the University of Delaware, Delaware State University, Delaware Technical College, Swarthmore College, and Villanova University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Muhammad is the first WilmU student in recent years to be awarded the Space Grant.
