It\u2019s a milestone that marks important academic research into the negative impact of climate change on coral reefs, rocket building, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cReaching the 10-year mark gives us a chance to reflect on what we\u2019ve built, but also to look ahead,\u201d says <strong>Dr. Milton Muldrow<\/strong>, dean of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wilmu.edu\/sciences-engineering\/index.aspx\">College of Sciences and Engineering<\/a> and associate director of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.delspace.org\/\">NASA\u2019s Space Grant Consortium of Delaware<\/a>. \u201cWith continued student engagement and expanded leadership within the program, we\u2019re focused on strengthening research pathways and creating even more opportunities moving forward.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Muldrow assists in the oversight of the consortium of higher learning institutions and with grant proposal reviews. In addition to WilmU, the consortium includes Delaware Technical Community College, Delaware State University, Swarthmore College, University of Delaware, and Villanova University. He also works with state and federal representatives, having twice visited Capitol Hill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the NASA program, student researchers focused on careers in science receive hands-on mentoring and access to internships, fellowships and other STEM initiatives in such diverse topics and gene editing and protecting Delaware\u2019s drinking water resources.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u2014 Eileen Smith Dallabrida<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NASA\u2019s Space Grant program has been helping Wilmington University students reach for the stars for a decade.
