href=\"https:\/\/www.wilmu.edu\/continuinged\/index.aspx\">The College of Professional and Continuing Education<\/a> is helping workers and managers in behavioral health advance their careers and enhance the communities they serve through a series of three training sessions on trauma-informed approaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Training focuses on such topics as identifying toxic stress, creating a trusting and protective workplace, and assessing trauma and resiliency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThrough the infrastructure and support of the College of Professional and Continuing Education, we were able to deliver training that equips workers and managers with practical trauma-informed strategies, continuing to move knowledge beyond the classroom and directly into the workplaces and communities where it can have the greatest impact,\u201d says <strong>Dr. Deb Berke<\/strong>, director of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wilmu.edu\/behavioralscience\/indexs.aspx\">Psychology Programs<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wilmu.edu\/cps\/\">Center for Prevention Science.<\/a> Dr. Berke led the training with <strong>Dr. Suzanne Reinhardt<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trauma-informed care provides a framework that acknowledges the impact of trauma on wellness and identifies collaborative paths to safety and healing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rick Beno<\/strong>, associate dean of the college,
