He\u2019s now taking on a national leadership role as president of the Faculty Athletics Representatives Association.&nbsp;FARA&nbsp;is the professional association&nbsp;representing&nbsp;faculty athletics representatives across all three NCAA divisions and is dedicated to upholding academic integrity and the student-athlete experience.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAthletics has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. From cheering on my favorite teams to competing in a variety of sports, including in college, to now having the opportunity to serve in this role,\u201d says Dr. Wilson, director of the Division of Liberal Arts in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wilmu.edu\/education\/indexe.aspx\">College of Education and Liberal Arts<\/a>. \u201cMy\u00a0journey has shaped a deep appreciation for the role sports play in personal growth. Collegiate athletics allows me to bring that lifelong connection together with my passion for helping students.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a statement, CACC Commissioner&nbsp;<strong>Dan Mara<\/strong> praised Dr. Wilson\u2019s leadership and devotion to students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDr. Wilson is extremely dedicated to the Faculty Athletics Representative role,\u201d he says. \u201cHe makes a difference in the student-athlete experience on his campus, in the conference, and now on the national level.
