Graduates will be eligible upon completion to take the National Certification Exam to become CRNAs.\u202f\u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Meeting a Critical Workforce Need&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Delaware, like much of the nation, faces a pressing growing shortage of anesthesia professionals. According to the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology, the demand for CRNAs is expected to rise significantly over the next decade as surgical and procedural volumes continue to increase and the population ages.\u202f\u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe DNAP strengthens our regional health care workforce by training highly skilled anesthesia professionals right here in Delaware,\u201d says Nurse\u202fAnesthesiology\u202fProgram Director and Associate Professor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wilmu.edu\/directory\/healthprofessions\/jacqui-mainwaring.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Dr. Jacqueline Mainwaring<\/strong><\/a>. \u201cOur graduates will play a vital role in expanding access to safe, high-quality anesthesia care across diverse communities.\u201d\u202f\u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Collaboration for Delaware\u2019s Future&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The program reflects a strong partnership among higher education and health care organizations united to improve patient outcomes and advance professional education.
