The program trims the traditional timeline while lowering overall tuition costs.\u202f\u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students complete three years of undergraduate study before moving directly into the <a href=\"https:\/\/law.wilmu.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Wilmington University School of Law<\/a>. Their first year of law school also counts toward their remaining undergraduate requirements, and the bachelor\u2019s degree is awarded at the end of that year. The pathway facilitates an efficient transition into advanced legal studies. It is open to students in a range of majors, including liberal or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wilmu.edu\/education\/interdisciplinary-studies.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">interdisciplinary studies<\/a>.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students preparing for law school come from a wide range of majors. Advisors work with each student individually to make sure their plan of study fits their goals. Early advising helps students keep the flexibility they need while staying on track to complete both degrees in six years.\u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur mission has always been to open doors and remove barriers,\u201d says Wilmington University President <strong>Dr. LaVerne Harmon<\/strong>. \u201cThis pathway gives students a clear and affordable route to the legal profession, while preparing them to serve others with integrity and purpose.\u201d\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Program highlights include:\u202f\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Students complete 75 percent of their undergraduate credits at WilmU, with first-year law courses counting toward both degrees.\u202f\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Thirty credits from the first year of law school apply to undergraduate and J.D. requirements.\u202f\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Participants receive access to a one-credit LSAT preparation seminar and advising support.\u202f\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The American Bar Association\u202fawarded provisional approval to WilmU\u2019s law school in March of 2025, a recognition that allows students to pursue a law degree from an institution meeting rigorous national standards.\u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe 3+3 Pathway reflects our commitment to preparing students for the demands of the profession,\u201d says The Honorable <a href=\"https:\/\/law.wilmu.edu\/administration\/dean.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Jan R. Jurden<\/strong><\/a>, dean of the Wilmington University School of Law. \u201cThis program gives students early immersion in legal study, strong academic support and the foundation to become practice-ready attorneys who will make a difference in their communities.\u201d\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adds <strong>Dr. Denise Wells<\/strong>, senior vice president and chief academic officer, \u201cThis pathway connects two stages of education in a thoughtful way.
