The full-time, 36-month course of study will prepare baccalaureate-educated nurses with at least one year of full-time critical care experience to become nurse anesthetists with a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nurse Anesthesiology.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The DNAP spans 36 months and combines three years of rigorous didactic education with two years of clinical rotations. Students will be trained to administer anesthesia to diverse patient populations in a range of clinical environments. Graduates will be equipped to apply evidence-based practices and spearhead health care innovation, ensuring better outcomes for all.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignleft is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.wilmu.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Jacqueline-Mainwaring.jpg\" alt=\"Dr. Jacqueline Mainwaring\" class=\"wp-image-18307\" style=\"width:130px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.wilmu.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Jacqueline-Mainwaring.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.wilmu.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Jacqueline-Mainwaring-188x250.jpg 188w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Dr. Jacqueline Mainwaring<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Representatives of the\u202f<a href=\"https:\/\/www.coacrna.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs<\/a>\u202f(COA) visited\u202f<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wilmu.edu\/index.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Wilmington University<\/a>\u202fin April to meet with staff, evaluate facilities and review the program\u2019s accreditation self-study. The COA Onsite Review Team found the program to be in full compliance with all\u202f<a href=\"https:\/\/www.coacrna.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Standards-for-Accreditation-of-Nurse-Anesthesia-Programs-Practice-Doctorate-editorial-rev-February-2024-1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Standards for Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Programs \u2013 Practice Doctorate<\/a><em>.\u202f<\/em>They noted no areas in need of improvement and praised the thoroughness of the self-study prepared by program director&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wilmu.edu\/directory\/healthprofessions\/jacqui-mainwaring.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Dr. Jacqueline Mainwaring<\/strong><\/a>.
