WilmU alumnus Gopi Pasupuleti has turned the skills he gained in the classroom into a thriving career — and a pathway to pay it forward.

The 2025 grad is now an Application Program Manager II at Bank of America, where he applies his expertise as a data engineer to build scalable, high-performance solutions in banking and other sectors. His proficiency with the Hadoop ecosystem, encompassing Spark, Kafka, Hive, and Impala, helps drive the real-time and batch data pipelines essential to modern financial systems.

Pasupuleti credits Wilmington University with helping him build both technical knowledge and professional confidence. “I had great faculty and great fellow students,” he says.

That spirit of collaboration extends to his role as a member of WilmU’s Business Management Program Advisory Board. There, he provides industry insights that inform curriculum development and support student success, an opportunity he sees as a meaningful way to stay connected to the university community while helping the next generation enter a rapidly evolving field. “It’s a great opportunity to communicate with other people in my space,” he says.

Dr. Karen Marie Wagner-Clarke, chair of the Business Management Program, says Pasupuleti personifies WilmU’s emphasis on educating students to be career-ready, as well as a willingness to give back.

“Gopi exemplifies the caliber of Wilmington University graduates who transform knowledge into impact,” she says. “His leadership and contributions continue to elevate our curriculum and inspire future professionals.”
