Wilmington University’s new MBA Executive Pathway enables professionals to convert their work experiences into academic credits, allowing them to earn a master’s degree in 24 credits instead of the standard 30. Fast-tracking an MBA saves students time and money as they advance their careers.

Students with at least five years of progressive management or leadership experience in the business, nonprofit, or government sectors can gain up to six credits for skills they have already mastered in decision-making, organizational leadership, financial oversight, or project management. WilmU evaluates these competencies through a portfolio assessment process.

“At Wilmington University, we recognize that leadership doesn’t begin in the classroom—it’s forged through real-world experience. The MBA Executive Pathway empowers seasoned professionals to translate their accomplishments into academic credit, accelerating their journey toward an advanced degree. This innovative option reflects our commitment to meeting students where they are and providing practical, flexible solutions that support career growth and lifelong learning,” says Dr. Robin Weinstein, dean of the College of Business.
