Dr. James Fraley, chair of M.S. Cyber Security and M.S. Information Systems Technologies-Information Assurance (MS-IST) for the College of Technology, has years of experience keeping technology and data safe.
For four straight years, he’s been a speaker at Secure Delaware. In this eagerly anticipated event, professionals come together to learn about the latest in the rapidly evolving realm of cybersecurity. The newest conference occurred on Oct. 29 at the University of Delaware and featured keynote speakers and workshops.
Over the years, Dr. Fraley has presented on such topics as the SolarWinds cyber-attack, an event in 2020 that resulted in widespread data breaches, and ways to demystify Zero Trust, in which he outlined strategies for adapting a unified, dynamic approach to keeping resources secure, preventing data loss, and decreasing costs.
Dr. Fraley has 30 years of experience as a security practitioner, holding positions such as senior threat intelligence strategist at Intel Security, senior director of global security practice at McAfee, and vice president for intelligence and security practice at ReliaSource, among other roles.
