The College of Business has hired three new chairs whose academic expertise and real-life work experience will help to advance students’ career goals.
Dr. Allison Jengehino, chair of Accounting, has worked in financial accounting, management, and accounting information systems and software. She played a key role in implementing and adapting International Financial Reporting Standards and evaluating its impact on firms. Dr. Jengehino also is a licensed CPA.
“Dr. Jengehino’s extensive experience in accounting education and her leadership as assistant chair uniquely position her to enhance our Accounting programs,” says Dr. Robin Weinstein, dean. “Her focus on academic excellence and student success will ensure our graduates are well-prepared for professional careers.”
Dr. David R. Gomez, a longtime airline executive, is the MS of Management chair, leveraging his extensive expertise in leadership, data analytics, and organizational performance. The dean says his passion for integrating real-world experience into the classroom ensures students gain practical insights into management and business strategy.
“Dr. Gomez’s blend of corporate and academic leadership brings a dynamic perspective to the MS in Management program,” he says.
Dr. Karen Graves has over 20 years of experience in accounting, operational management, human resources, information technology, strategic planning, and project and financial management.
“Dr. Graves’s impressive background in financial management and her years as an adjunct faculty member equip her to lead our Finance and Economics programs with innovation and expertise,” Dr. Weinstein says.
