Wilmington University is making significant strides with its Latino initiative, building on the Fall 2023 pilot of Bilingual Online Live Spanish courses in the College of Business.

Based on feedback, WilmU will offer Business Communications this fall in a bilingual format with optimized scheduling.

“Being on the leading edge of bilingual education is crucial,” says College of Business Dean Dr. Robin Weinstein. “By introducing more bilingual Online Live business courses in the upcoming year, we aim to enhance learning opportunities for Spanish speakers and those eager to learn a new language. This initiative not only reflects our commitment to educational equity and cultural inclusivity but also positions us as a forward-thinking institution dedicated to meeting the evolving needs of our diverse community.”

In collaboration with other departments, the college is reaching out to the Hispanic community. That includes engaging in key Latino entrepreneurial events to foster community ties and promote business education, such as the La Plaza/DALE Small Business Expo held in April at Cape Henlopen High School.
