DBA Puts Career Shift on the Fast Track

Mohammad Choubdar started his career as an EKG cardiovascular technician at Johns Hopkins, where he performed stress tests and other diagnostic procedures.

He got a taste of what he could contribute from a business standpoint when he developed an efficient physician workflow and created a reporting tool to measure revenue loss and profit. But to shift from clinical work to administration, he needed to return to school.

Getting an M.S. in Healthcare Administration from Oklahoma State University in 2020 helped him forge a new career path at GEHealthcare in Havre de Grace, Maryland. Choubdar thought he could go further faster with a doctorate and enrolled in Wilmington University’s Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program. Available 100% online, the program offers flexible scheduling for working professionals who can complete the degree in as little as three years.

Choubdar says his pursuit of a DBA significantly contributed to his new position as associate global product manager, where he is responsible for providing multi-functional leadership and strategic direction of the product portfolio. He is on track to complete his DBA in 2024.
