College of Business Explores Global Academic Partnerships

Wilmington University is on the leading edge in a global economy as its College of Business explores partnerships with DBA programs in Latin America and Europe.

Dr. Kathy Kennedy-Ratajack, dean of the College of Business, and Dr. Amy Danley, who chairs the DBA program, met with Mauricio Ramirez, who directs the DBA program at Universidad Catolica de Occidente (Catholic University of the West) in El Salvador. They discussed potential collaboration with DBA students in WilmU’s Leadership Course that would include instruction by international business leaders and faculty.

A team from WilmU also met with Konstantinos Bardis and representatives from the International University in Applied Sciences, based in Bad Honnef, Germany, to discuss collaboration options for WilmU DBA programs and students.

“We are very excited about this initiative,” Dr. Kennedy-Ratajack says. “We are focused on providing our DBA students with the opportunities to work and learn from our international partners.  Collaborations like these help to enrich our academic offerings and bring forth a global mindset to business.”
