Educational Technology Team Hosts Winter Technology Institute for Faculty

Computer and notebook

Wilmington University has long been a leader in supporting faculty with the latest and most effective teaching tools, including digital technology. In January, the Educational Technology Team presented the Winter Technology Institute, an online training event attended by 48 faculty members. Institutes, presented quarterly, offer faculty a chance to connect and network with colleagues while learning the latest tips, tricks, and techniques for digital teaching.

The Institute focuses on best practices in teaching with technology using a student-first approach.  At this event, faculty received training in using online video tools to facilitate collaborative group work in a remote environment.

The Educational Technology team offers continuous individual and group training throughout the year, including workshops and training to meet the needs of colleges, programs, and individual faculty and staff on Canvas and other educational technology tools. Those services include training, on-demand videos, step-by-step documentation, and personalized support. For more on the Educational Technology Department, visit wilmu.edu/tech.
