New A.S. in Data Analytics: A Career Starter

Laptops and notes

Launched in Fall of 2021, Wilmington University’s new associate degree in Data Analytics is designed to equip students for careers in a rapidly growing profession.

The program is 100% online and provides students with the well-rounded data analytics skills they’ll need on the job, notes Dr. Victoria Haddad, chair of Computer Science and AS, Data Analytics.

The degree is a steppingstone toward careers as a business analyst, business intelligence analyst, data analyst, data technician, and operations analyst.

Demand is highest in the finance and health care industries. Students gain experience and training in skills employers demand, including Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Python, SQL Database, and Tableau.

The degree also is designed to offer students value. A dual-credit® certificate in Data Analytics is built into the curriculum, meaning students can earn this desirable credential without the expense of additional tuition. Want to keep learning? Credits from the associate degree can be applied directly to a B.S. in Computer Science.
