Dr. Aaron Sebach, director of Graduate Nursing Programs, has been elected to serve on the National League for Nursing’s Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA) six-member nominating committee.
Dr. Sebach, who also chairs the Doctor of Nursing Practice Program, will represent practice-focused doctoral programs in nursing, identifying and putting forth individuals to serve on the organization’s various boards.
“This opportunity for me to represent Wilmington University on a national level will allow WilmU to have the benefit of collaborating with other leaders in nursing,” he says.
Dr. Sebach and the other members of the nominating committee are tasked with finding candidates who exemplify the organization’s core values of caring, diversity, excellence, and integrity.
He was urged to run for the position by Dr. Theresa Shellenberger, NLN CNEA director, who was on his Ph. D dissertation committee. He was elected to a two-year term on the nominating committee in a nationwide vote of NLN CNEA members. The organization promotes excellence and integrity in nursing education through an accreditation process that respects the diversity of program mission, curricula, students, and faculty; emphasizes a culture of continuous quality improvement; and influences the preparation of a caring and skilled nursing workforce.
