Student Interns Develop Marketing Plans for College of Business

WilmU students Nelly Munoz and Michelle Falcone, seniors in the Business Analytics bachelor’s degree program, teamed up with Grace Slate, a senior in the Marketing bachelor’s program, to put their learning to work in an innovative and hands-on summer internship.

During the first half of the summer, they’ve been developing a marketing program for the College of Business’s new, accelerated Master of Science in Management with a concentration in Organizational Leadership. The accelerated program enables students to get a head start on a graduate degree by obtaining academic credit for prior coursework, previous work experience, and industry certifications.

Unlike the Master of Business Administration, with its focus on finance and analytics, the MS in Management centers on leadership and management. In addition, it doesn’t require the completion of prerequisite courses in accounting, economics, finance, and mathematics, as the MBA does. Classes start every eight weeks, giving students immediate access to the opportunity to advance their careers.

After Munoz, Falcone, and Slate complete their MS in Management project, the team will spend the second half of the summer planning a project to develop marketing for the entire College of Business.
