Wilmington University’s Educational Technology has powered the transition to a new faculty and staff development training system called LearningStream.

The new WilmU Learning Center (now using LearningStream software) is a training management system, which provides registration and tracking for faculty and staff’s professional development opportunities. The team migrated about 30,000 historical training records to the new system.

Among the new features for faculty and staff are a variety of event catalogs where users can search and filter training events for Pathways to Instructional Excellent (PIE), faculty- or staff-only trainings, and self-paced training courses. The new system provides users access to their personal training transcript to conveniently review and track their training status, as well as a notification inbox of reminders, registrations and messages about a training event.

The new learning center offers seamless integration with WilmU’s Canvas Learning Management System and harnesses the existing LMS for students to train faculty and staff. When participants register for a self-pace training event, they are automatically enrolled in the corresponding online training course in LMS.
