A New Adjunct Coordinator in the College of Education

Dr. Heather Horowitz is now the adjunct program coordinator for the M.Ed. in Higher Education, a degree program first offered in 2019. She was a member of the team of five Wilmington University doctoral students who worked with Dr. Nina Buchanan, chair of the Higher Education Leadership program, to design the program from the ground up and guide it through the approval process.

The program has several unique features, including personalized, 1:1 guided study courses. That approach is resonating with students, and enrollment is growing with an anticipated 100 students.

Dr. Horowitz holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and History and a master of arts degree in Organizational Leadership in Higher Education Administration, both from Rider University. She earned her Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership from WilmU. She also has served as the director of Engagement and New Student Programs at Arcadia University and is a WilmU adjunct instructor and course/certificate designer.
