Dr. Sebach’s Latest Achievement

Dr. Sebach

Dr. Aaron Sebach, associate professor and chair of Wilmington University’s Doctor of Nursing Practice program, is now a Fellow in Hospital Medicine (FHM), an achievement conferred by the Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM).

This prestigious honor is bestowed by the SHM following a rigorous peer review process and requires significant and sustained contributions to the field of hospital medicine. Fellows must demonstrate core values of leadership, teamwork, and quality improvement. Dr. Sebach received the honor at the annual SHM conference, held in March in National Harbor, Maryland.

In addition to his work at WilmU, he maintains an active clinical practice as a hospitalist nurse practitioner at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Maryland, and is the first nurse practitioner at that institution to achieve fellowship status.

“Fellows in hospital medicine are truly interdisciplinary and include physicians, pharmacists, practice administrators, physician assistants and nurse practitioners,” he says. “It is a reflection of my commitment to hospital medicine and the rapidly expanding career horizon for nurse practitioners in inpatient settings.”
