The Unique Way High School Students in Delaware Can Save on College Tuition

According to the College Board, the average tuition price for a private college is over $48,000. How can you achieve your education goals and avoid the debt afterwards?

Closing the opportunity divide is something we’re experts in here at Wilmington University: our graduates complete their education with an average of 60% less debt than the U.S. average and sometimes with no student debt at all.

For high school students in Delaware, we offer unique opportunities to get a head start on college and save on tuition before you even leave high school:

  • Dual Enrollment

High-achieving high school students can take courses right at their school taught by WilmU adjunct professors and earn both high school AND college credit. Earning credits saves you future tuition dollars before even starting college. Find out if your school is partnered with us.

  • Early College Credit

This program enables high school juniors and seniors to earn college credit by taking WilmU courses online or at our New Castle campus. You’ll be engaged in the classroom, involved in discussions with fellow college students and professors, and experience a college-level course. You’ll earn the college credit without the price tag of a college course. Find out more about the program.

Besides affordable tuition (we say it often, but we’re proud of it: #1 most affordable among competitors in the region, #4 in the nation), we have even more ways to help finance your education:

  • One simple form to apply for all the scholarships you’re qualified for.
  • Admission Specialists who are available to help plan your educational financing with you.
  • Flexible course schedules which allow you to work at the same time as you earn your degree if you chose to – 87% of our students work full or part-time.
  • A simple process to transfer up to 90 credits for your associate degree or prior learning. PLUS, our partner schools’ graduates can seamlessly transfer to WilmU.

Smart planning early on will leave you on better financial footing than many of your peers. See more about our programs here or explore how to pay for school with tools like our Price Calculator.
