WilmU Student Wins Major Fellowship Award

A scholarship application

WilmU student Tammy Brewer is the recipient of the Barbara Grimsley Sigma Beta Delta Fellowship Award, which helps students studying business to complete their bachelor’s or master’s degrees.

Membership in Sigma Beta Delta, an international honor society for business, management and administration, is the highest national recognition a business student can receive at a college or university with an SBD chapter. To be eligible, a business student must rank in the top 20 percent of the junior, senior or graduate class.

Each academic year, the Sigma Beta Delta Fellowship program awards more than 20 fellowships from nominees at more than 400 members schools. Each local chapter nominates one new qualifying SBD member for the awards. One-time scholarships range from $1,000 to $1,500.

Brewer is pursuing a bachelor’s in Organizational Management with a concentration in Human Resource Management and Business, and maintains a 3.9 grade point average. She completed her associate degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences at WilmU in 2016.

The College of Business is committed to excellence in teaching, relevancy of the curriculum, and individual attention to undergraduate and graduate business students. Find the list of programs here.
