E-learning is growing rapidly, in both academic and business settings.

“To meet that growing need, the new graduate certificate in E-Learning Design and Technology offers students the opportunity to advance their current careers or launch new careers”, says Dr. Sallie Reissman, Assistant Vice President and Dean of the College of Online and Experiential Learning.

In fact, research by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics indicates that e-learning is growing in the finance, healthcare, software engineering, biotech, and security industries. This potential for broad application in diverse market sectors appeals both to students who are currently working in these industries, and to students interested in developing new skills or exploring new career options.

The E-learning Design and Technology certificate utilizes a learner-centered, project-based curriculum, where students explore instructional design and technology, multimedia applications, and instructional strategies for delivering effective e-learning experiences in a broad array of educational and business contexts. Students have the flexibility to work on practical projects that align with their professional goals and interests, while building a portfolio of knowledge and skills throughout the program.
