WilmU celebrates golden anniversary with 50 ways to make undergrad and graduate degrees even more affordable
WilmU will award 50 scholarships to 50 new students as yet another way to make their college degrees an affordable and attainable reality.
The 50 new scholarships are for one full course (3 credits) and will make a difference for new undergraduate or graduate students who apply to Wilmington University by January 9. Once these students successfully complete a Spring 2019 course within one of the university’s 150 degree programs, their names will be collected and 50 will be selected in a random drawing for the scholarships.
Wilmington University’s mission over the past five decades has been to provide greater opportunity by making higher education more affordable and available, especially for students who have already entered the workforce. “As we celebrate our 50th anniversary, we see these scholarships as a meaningful way to help make a degree even more affordable,” says Felicia Quinn, Director of Development at WilmU.
“In addition to having one of the lowest tuition rates in our region, Wilmington University also directs 100% of every fundraising dollar to scholarships for deserving students,” Quinn continues. “But we will only have one 50th anniversary, and we wanted to ensure as many reasons as possible for our students to celebrate as well. These scholarships provide another opportunity for newly enrolled students to more easily afford a bachelor’s or master’s degree. They are that celebratory ‘something extra’ that will help them to attain those degrees and meet their professional goals.”
