$1200 toward the cost of the IT Training. Scholarship will also include a complimentary pass to Hacker

OWASP (Open Web Application Security Project )
The Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) is an open community dedicated to enabling organizations to conceive, develop, acquire, operate, and maintain applications that can be trusted. All of the OWASP tools, documents, forums, and chapters are free and open to anyone interested in improving application security. The OWASP Foundation is a not-for-profit entity that ensures the project’s long-term success. OWASP chapters, like OWASP Delaware, help to foster local discussions of application security around the world. Local chapters are free and open to anyone.

THE RASPBERRY PI CLUB
The Raspberry Pi Club will have its first meeting on July 12th between 10 AM and noon in Room PEO-035 of the New Castle campus. The meeting is open to anybody interested in expanding their skills in Python and working with computers the size of a box of playing cards. There are lots of cool projects you can do with a Raspberry Pi computer, from an infrared bird box ( http://www.raspberrypi.org/learning/infrared-bird-box/ ) to building a personal VPN for secure browsing anywhere ( http://lifehacker.com/5978098/turn-a-raspberry-pi-into-a-personal-vpn-for-secure-browsing-anywhere-you-go ). The possibilities are endless.

EAST COAST REBOOT May 2-4, 2014
In May 2014, Wilmington University hosted the East Coast Reboot, an event consisting of 16 judged competitions as well as a chance to connect with experts in technology fields at the ECRB expo. Participants bring their portfolios and CV to have them critiqued by professionals and to share them with potential employers. The 2014 East Coast Reboot was Presented by Wilmington University’s College of Technology and Department of Alumni Relations.
