Local television just got better. College of Technology adjunct faculty member Tim Day and Program Chair Scott Shaw started a co-op with New Castle County Television (NCCTV) in February. The partnership between Wilmington University and New Castle County officials affords students opportunities to produce, edit and provide video content for the public access station.
The College of Online and Experiential Learning’s Dave Caffo inspired a partnership that blossomed after discussions took place between COT Dean Dr. Ed Guthrie, Shaw and New Castle County Executive Tom Gordon, says Shaw. Students will learn every aspect of video production, from concept development to finished production and possibly distribution.
The plan is to rotate students through this co-op experience as each cohort or group completes academic studies. Stay tuned. WU
