Paul Pond joined Wilmington University in 2007 as adjunct professor and has over 28 years of computer industry experience. He currently works as an Information Resource Manager for the Delaware Department of Education and has been the Information Security Officer for the Department. Paul earned his Bachelors of Science in Computer and Network Security at Wilmington University. He has over 15 years teaching experience in the Air Force, as a Microsoft Certified Trainer, and at Wilmington University. Paul has many Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) certifications in information security and information systems including A+, Network+, and Security+. Additionally, Paul has several Microsoft certifications including MCP – Proxy Server, MCP – TCP/IP, MCP – SMS, MCSA – Windows 2000, MCSA – Windows 2003, MCSA – Messaging, MCSE – Windows NT, MCSE – Windows 2000, MCSE – Windows 2003, and MCT – 10 years.
Paul has taught both in the classroom and in the online environment at Wilmington University. He teaches Cryptography: Algorithms and Application, Operating System and Computer Systems Security, and Web and Data Security. Paul brings his expertise in network and system administration, technical training, and security management into the classroom for the benefit of all his students.
