After serving 4 years in the United States Navy, Jon Schlegel attended the University of Delaware and received his B.A degree. Upon completion he started working for the Department of Defense (DOD) supporting the emerging career field of Information Operations. This later grew into to Cyber Network Operations (CNO). In his duties, he monitored and provided in-depth diagnostic analysis of computer and network intrusion incident data in support of the DOD, the national security community and various law enforcement agencies.
Jon has work experiences with network analysis, media forensic analysis, and penetration testing. He was also the property manager of a data center and was responsible for personnel security and screening. Currently Jon is supporting cyber/computer exercises to ensure data integrity, confidentially and availability of operational data.
During his spare time, Jon likes to spend time with his family. When not participating in family activities, he spends time boating, running and building his project car.
Jon’s professional memberships include being an active member of Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) along with several internal DOD memberships.
