Adjunct Faculty – Wilmington University College of Technology
Deval joined Wilmington University in 2012 as adjunct professor with over 20 years of Information Technology and Information Security Expertise with the federal government, financial and consulting services Industries. Deval currently works as Information Security Officer at US Customs and Border Protection; where he is responsible for ensuring the protection of sensitive information at the Nation’s busiest airports and seaports.
Deval teaches both at the graduate and the undergraduate level with the College of Technology. At Wilmington university, Deval teaches both online and traditional classes. Some of the course Deval has taught include: Operating Systems and Computer Systems Security, Web and Data Security, & IT Policy and Strategy.
Deval obtained his Master of Engineering (1997) in Information Networks and a Bachelor of Engineering (1993) in Electrical Engineering at Stevens Institute of Technology. Deval also holds the CISSP, CISA and ITIL v3 Certification.
Deval is also an advisor with several organizations. Deval is a curriculum advisor with PolyTech Highschool in Woodside Delaware and also an advisor with Secure World Expo conference in Philadelphia.
