David H. Sten
Adjunct Professor – Wilmington University College of Technology
David H. Sten, adjunct professor of the Wilmington University – College of Technology, received his bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Delaware, his Master of Internet and Web Design from Wilmington University, his Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems from Wilmington University. He is currently completing his thesis study for his MS in Management and Management Information System. He is also taking courses toward his Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Organizational Leadership.
As an undergraduate engineering student at the University of Delaware, his senior design project team, sponsored by a cardiac surgeon from Christiana Hospital, developed a cardiac catheter, which allows for an alternative method of retrograde cardioplegia injection.
He received the Master of Business Administration Award from Wilmington University, is a member of Epsilon Pi Tau (The International Honor Society For Professions In Technology), a member of Sigma Beta Delta (The International Honor Society In Business, Management, And Administration), and a member of the Mathematics Association of America.
For the past 20 years, he has worked in the Information Technology department of Herr Foods Inc, located in Nottingham, Pennsylvania where he is the IT Project Leader. His past positions include Norand Technician, IT Trainer, and Programmer Analyst. Programming development projects include areas of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), sales and order processing, inventory control, cost analysis, data warehousing, accounting, purchasing, vehicle maintenance, and route sales handheld computer data transferring.
He lives in North East, Maryland with his wife of 17 years and two daughters. His interests include astronomy, biking, and working outdoors.
