Adjunct Instructor – Wilmington University College of Technology

Jim White joined Wilmington University this summer as adjunct instructor. A self proclaimed “Technology jack of all trades,” James has worked in software development, web design, data center support, system administration, desktop support, database design, networking, and more. He currently teaches Linux introductory and administration classes in both the Dover and New Castle campus.

James earned his Associates Degrees in Computer Engineering and Network engineering from Delaware Tech in 2000. He then received a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Resource Management from Wilmington University in 2004, and has nearly completed his Masters in Web Design & Development.

When not at work or with his family, James remains constantly busy with side projects that include web development, ¬†game design, iPhone and Android development, and open source evangelism. When not sitting in front of a computer, James enjoys photography and international travel – hitting the world’s best SCUBA diving locations.

James (JP) White joined Wilmington University in the summer of 2010 as an adjunct instructor. He currently teaches in the Web Information Systems (WIS) and Information Resource Management (IRM) undergraduate degree programs. Although James enjoys teaching a variety of different technology courses, his passion is in teaching classed rooted in Open Source (both Systems and Languages).

James has worked in various I.T. roles since 1999 including Windows and Linux System Administration, Data Center Engineering, and Web Application Development. He has also participated in several startup web projects and companies; all based on Open Source technologies. James earned Associates degrees in Applied Science in both Network and Computer engineering. He then received his Bachelor of Science degree in Information resource Management at Wilmington University in 2004, and is currently finishing a Master of Science degree in Information Systems. Professional memberships include Red Hat Certified Linux Administration.
